Christmas 2011
With it being the first Christmas season that we had
THREE little boys in our house it was one to remember.
We started it out with heading to Apple Hill the day after Thansgiving to pick out our Christmas tree.
Packing THREE little boys in a vehicle was a little more challenging.
I thought it would be easy....we had done it with two, but THREE is a totally different matter.
We were out numbered.
Thankfully Josh's parents & Aunt Janis came so they were able to help when Daxton had a blow out diaper the minute we got there & then of course needed to be fed.
The first sighting of Santa.
Picking out our tree.
By December 1st the Christmas tree was up with lights & ready to be decorated.
I found a fun holiday Groupon online for a festive trolley ride through the city.
So on 12/5/12 we took BART to San Francisco & rode the trolley through the city
while singing Christmas carols & wearing Santa hats.
I wish we would have brought some family or friends that would have sung along with us since some of the people seemed to be too "cool" to sing.
We loved looking at all the Christmas decor throughout the city & even though it was a bit chilly we all enjoyed ourselves.
I was very thankful for a empty BART on the way home since all three of the boys fell asleep.
Chase had his 1st sip of Egg Nog & loved it (that's my boy).
(12/20)
So this year he bought them all a remote controlled toy.
They each either got a remote helicopter or a remote car.
There were a lot of crashes that night, especially with the helicopters.
Here is the oldest Phillips grandchild/ grandson & the youngest Phillips grandchild/grandson to date.
Both first names starting with the letter D.
Christmas Day
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is watching the boys exchange gifts to eachother.
We all scored with Riley's gift from Santa. His new stereo will be well used in this house & I'm sure many a dance parties will happen in Riley & Chase's room.
Chase was so excited to see that Santa brought him a red Swinn tricycle.
His legs aren't quite long enough to touch the pedals, but he doesn't mind & rides it like a scooter.
Daxton is in love with the lamby he got.
It makes a few soothing sounds (heartbeat, ocean, rain, etc) to help with going to sleep.
I made each of the boys a jean blanket with their first initial on it.
They turned out really cute. Only problem is that somehow Riley's turned out the smallest (barely even covers him) & Daxton's is huge (it's the size I wanted them all to be).
& Chase's to eventually make them bigger.
Christmas Day is always so exciting & fun, but by the end of the day it can sure wear you out.
