Pine Wood Derby 2012

This was the 1st year that Riley got to be a part of the

PINE WOOD DERBY

He was so excited & I think Josh & Bernard were even more excited.

They started working on it in February.

I love this 3 generation picture.

Riley picked out a car that he had at the house & told Josh that this was the look he was going for.

It reminded me of the Batmobile. 

Then in April they had the weigh in and then they kept the cars

in case anyone would cheat & add more weight.

Then on Thursday, May 3rd they had the Pine Wood Derby.

Let the races begin.

Riley had a great time.

His car didn't win, but the experience was well worth it for him.

He can't wait until next year & is already planning out his car design.

 It was my dad's 1st time to a Pine Wood Derby too & he ended up being asked to be a line judge.
